This project in the Waterloo / Pinckney, Michigan area was built purely for entertainment and it’s unlike anything else around. The space sits next to a barn, so the entire layout had to feel intentional, balanced, and built to handle a lot of use. We created multiple pergolas, an outdoor kitchen, outdoor TVs, and high-end outdoor speakers so the space works just as well for small gatherings as it does for hosting larger groups.

 

One of the standout features is the elevated bocce ball court finished with turf, surrounded by multiple tiers of retaining walls and steps. We also installed a six-foot-tall boulder fountain as a focal point, along with an integrated smokeless firepit. The patio itself is broken into distinct sections using raised planting boxes that double as seat walls, which helps define each area without closing the space in.

 

This is not a basic patio. Every detail—from the continuous seat wall along the back side to the way the planting areas, walls, and hardscape flow together—was designed to make the best possible use of the space. The result is a one-of-a-kind outdoor living area built for function, durability, and long-term enjoyment. This project is a strong example of high-end, custom hardscape and outdoor living construction in the Waterloo and Pinckney, Michigan area.
